"For real an amazing place. We just finished our hiking and found this restaurant (partially closed due to COVID) to have something warm . We also checked the bathrooms and they were super clean. Prices are a bit expensive but you’ve to consider you’re in the middle of the mountains. A full menu for kids is EUR 10 and a full menu for adults is EUR 17. One medium cappuccino is EUR 2,60. We really recommend this place. I hope you find this review useful. If so, please visit our instagram profile and share your comments with us!

"El Racó de la Vall, conveniently placed in Vall de Núria, is the sort of restaurant you’re likely to encounter almost by accident—and perhaps stay out of mild curiosity rather than firm conviction. It offers a straightforward Mediterranean menu, with familiar staples such as paella, monkfish, and pork making regular appearances. On paper, it all sounds rather promising. The dishes are generally well-executed, if not particularly memorable, and those with a sweet tooth may find the gelato a pleasant surprise. There’s a decent selection of wine, and the coffee—always a quiet benchmark in Spain—holds its own. Families, in particular, are well catered for. The children’s menu is generous, and the atmosphere leans toward relaxed rather than refined, making it an easy choice for those travelling with younger companions. The setting itself is calm, almost understated, which can feel like a welcome pause amid a day of walking or skiing. Service tends to be described as friendly, if occasionally a touch indifferent—competent rather than attentive. Prices are reasonable, especially given the location, though expectations should be kept sensibly in check. Curiously, despite its many agreeable qualities, overall ratings remain somewhat lukewarm. Perhaps it’s a matter of inconsistency, or simply the quiet challenge of standing out in such a spectacular setting. In short: perfectly adequate, pleasantly unpretentious, but unlikely to be the highlight of your visit—more a practical stop than a culinary destination."
